It is currently a topic on everyone\u2019s lips, but when it comes to travel and tourism, sustainability is much more than simply a buzzword. Tourism and travel sustainability means ensuring that the delights of exploring the world that we all take so much for granted will continue to be available future generations, and the sector continues to show leadership with initiatives across a wide variety of sustainability areas.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it\u2019s sustainable aviation fuels, minimising our carbon footprint, nurturing local communities across the globe, keeping the environment pristine, looking after wildlife, managing the impact of large numbers of visitors or simply giving back, many in the industry are constantly working to care for the world. The Travel Daily Sustainability Summit aims to provide a forum where we can share best practice, provide encouragement, discuss ideas and learn from one another as we press on to have a positive impact.<\/p>\n<p>The Summit will also provide an opportunity to recognise industry leaders in sustainability through the Australian Travel Industry Sustainability Awards. &nbsp;We look forward to showcasing some of the innovative initiatives being undertaken.<\/p>\n<p>The Travel Daily Sustainability Summit will dovetail in with our various Business Publishing Group publications, including a special \u201cSustainability\u201d issue of travelBulletin as well as features in Travel Daily, Cruise Weekly and Business Events News.<\/p>\n<h2>Sustainable Venue Partner<\/h2>\n<p>Doltone House Darling Island is a spectacular&nbsp;waterfront venue on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour, with views of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and magical city skyline.
